Jerome County maintains an official local VINE information page and routes users to Idaho VINELink. The county describes VINE as a free service for anonymous custody or court-status checks. It lists phone, email, text, website, and app notification channels, and it says family members and other interested persons may search and register.
The broader Idaho service covers participating prisons and jails. The Idaho VINELink portal is distinct from Jerome County's SIRCOMM headcount. VINE reports person-level status and events supplied by participating agencies. SIRCOMM presents county reports such as current headcount, arrests, and arraignments. Neither system is a permanent county release archive.
A released event supports that the feeding custodian reported a release. A transfer event means custody moved. For exact exit time, legal reason, receiving agency, or a retained copy, request the sheriff or IDOC record.

A VINE release event does not necessarily supply the precise legal disposition, exit time, or receiving agency. Jerome County's retained booking and inmate case records can contain release dates, orders, receipts, and related data. iCourt may explain a bond, dismissal, time-served disposition, or commitment, while the jail record confirms the physical exit.
An IDOC status adds another layer. “In community” must be opened and read with the case status. Repeated calls are a delivery feature, not separate release events.
IDOC has warned that VINE depends on automated data feeds and has experienced service interruption. Its newer restoration notice should carry more weight than stale outage wording on an older page, but a live test and agency confirmation remain prudent. If an expected notice never arrives, check the matching person again, inspect the county or IDOC status, and contact the responsible records office. Missing notification does not establish that custody stayed the same.
Confirm Jerome County VINE Events
VINE depends on data from the feeding agency and may experience interruptions or delay. IDOC said automated Idaho VINE phone, text, and email updates were restored in March 2024, and it separately notes that resident-location data is updated daily. Neither statement promises a real-time event in every case.

The telephone PIN is also more than a setup detail. It acknowledges that the right person received the automated message. Without acknowledgment, calls may continue for the documented period. A transfer message, release message, and escape message must still be read as separate events.
